I.                    CALL TO ORDER

The Monthly Meeting of the Orchard Knolls Homeowners Association (hereinafter OKHA) was called to order at 7:30pm on April 17, 2002 by President Richard Schinner.

 

II.                  APPROVAL OF MINUTES

A motion was made, seconded and passed approving the Minutes of the March 2002 BOD Meeting.

 

III.                OLD BUSINESS

 

LANDSCAPE RFP

Jerry Way met with Facility Services to review their contract and work to be completed on a regular basis in OK.  No responses have been received to OK Request for Proposals for new vendors.

 

POTOMAC GARDEN CENTER

BOD member Mohammed Homaitabar met with Bob Angell of the PGC to try and negotiate a definite timeline for PGC to complete work on our requests.  At the same time OK attorney Dave Gardner initiated the complaint process with Montgomery County.

 

NEW FIRE STATION FACILITY

Attorney David Gardner investigated and OKHA will ask that the County heavily screen the structure and loading dock with fencing and landscaping.

 

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE (ARC)

MISCELLANEOUS ISSUES

Blackberry Drive trees-3 Norway spruce are to be installed ASAP.

 

The “cat lady” will be contacted to update the BOD on status of the cat population.  One the one hand, the cats keep any “rat issues” under control, but too many felines become a problem themselves.

 

 

 

OKHA Annual Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, June 1st in conjunction with the Church Yard Sale.  Details to follow.

 

Behavior/relationship problem-12011 Cherry Blossom Place.  HOC will be contacted for direction and assistance.

 

IV.                ADJOURNMENT

 

The next meeting of the Board of Directors will be held on Monday, May 13, 2002 at 7:30pm at 15630 Blackberry Drive (Secretary Frank’s home).  All property owners and residents are welcome to.  Your input, via letter or email, is always welcome.

 

There being no further business, the BOD of OKHA was adjourned at 8:55pm.
